Some vehicles have a rearview mirror that is held in place by a spring clip that detaches the mirror when the air bag is deployed. To use this tool, place it under the bottom edge of the rearview mirror where it attaches to the windshield bracket and push the tool toward the windshield. This prying motion will detach the mirror from the windshield bracket.
